Meet Our New Owner!

Jody Tindill took ownership of New Look Interiors in 2022 following the retirement of Gord Skye.

Welcome to the Stage,

Jody Tindill

Jody became the new owner and business manager of New Look Interiors Inc. in 2022.

Jody Tindill, the illustrious owner of New Look Interiors Inc., began working at the age of 12 as a babysitter and working paper routes.

Then later, working at drive-thrus, and salad bars, as a telemarketer, seamstress, bartender and waitress. All before the age of 20.

Her passion for retail supply and install business began in 1992 when she started at a local door and window company that built pre-hung doors and sold and installed windows.

This is also where she met her current business partner, Dave Eddy.

In the following years, Jody pursued her Business Degree at UNBC, graduating with honours and an accounting majory.  Later she became a licensed real estate broker and earned a Project Management Professional designation.

In 2010, she and Dave began Belledune Homes & Construction LTD. This award-winning building company was started from scratch using Jody’s business and construction industry background and Dave’s talents as a carpenter and project manager.

This company is still being run by the couple.

In 2016, Jody became an independent real estate broker doing business as The Loft Realty.

Acquiring New look Interiors

In 2021, Jody and Dave dusted off a plan they had formulated a few years ago and started searching for opportunities to leverage their existing business and assets.

They landed on a plan for a retail operation.

Gordon Skye, the owner of New Look Interiors at the time, was selling to retire. A few weeks after learning this, a deal was in place to purchase the assets and staff of the kitchen, bath, tile, and renovation side of the business.

They quickly put in a plan to renovate a newly leased space and moved a few months later.

Personal Life

Working hard to ensure she leaves a legacy for her family drives Jody daily. Between her and Dave’s two daughters, they have 5 grandchildren and 3 sweet foster grandchildren whom they adore. They are a great reminder to take time for family.

Jody and Dave have regular family dinners, and their property is home to various kids’ activity areas.

In 2021 Jody decided to take up a new hobby – aquariums. Her home office has two large aquascapes: one saltwater and one freshwater.

Always going above and beyond, these aquariums are automated, feature natural ecosystems, and even have a separate room dedicated to their automation systems.

Transparency is one of Jody’s core values. She can be honest and trusting almost to a fault but believes if she keeps her personal karma bank full, the universe will make up for her trust misjudgments.

With a burning desire to be successful, Jody does everything to the best of her abilities and is consumed by a drive to achieve her goals. And it shows in her businesses.
